What happens to a brutal but beautiful geography when it itself has been brutalized over 30 years of conflict ?  

Landscape then becomes more than the space where conflict is played out, it becomes a casualty too of that conflict. A victim. Its bruises lie visible, exposed along with its beauty, a brooding apocalyptic vision.
